Crossing the Boundary

Blue's Clues is serious business, take 106...

The skidoo has always fascinated me. Partly because it seems like there's a lot of fun to be had if they weren't restricted to preschooler-friendly books and games. But even more because Steve/Joe seem way too disoriented afterwards for it to be just 'jump in one side of the picture and come out the other'. These two factors are breeding an unhealthy number of plot bunnies, and while I've so far resisted the urge to write anything, I've not so much resisted the urge to draw it...

So here's some of the Blue's Clues gang, a little bit older, in the middle of a skidoo. Or to be more specific, in the split-second of chaos that occurs when crossing between two worlds.
Oh, and Joe and Steve get slightly different outfits for no good reason. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I don't usually like mixing mediums, but making the background in PSP seemed to fit for this one. Nothing says chaos like computer graphics meeting colored pencil. Or something.
